Swimming Lessons

Swim lesson registration cut-off is one week prior to the start of the lesson set. Register early to help ensure the day and time you want is available.

The goals for this class are to help babies experience buoyancy and movement though songs and play in the water and to teach parents/caregivers age specific wafter safety. This is a parent assisted class.

Ages 12 - 24 months; parented

Swimmers in this class will learn how to use floating objects for support and explore different water movements through games, song and active water play. The parent/caregiver will also learn age-specfic water safety. This is a parent assisted class.

Sea Turtle

Sea Turtle

Ages 12 - 36 months; parented

Swimmers in this class will learn through fun games and songs, how to combine skills, kick with buoyant objects, and to perform basic floats, glides and kicks. This is a parent assisted class.

Ages 3 - 5 years old; unparented

Using games and activities, swimmers learn to open thier eyes under water, further their develop basic floats and glides, and swim 1 meter.

Salamander

Ages 3 - 5 years old; unparented

Using games and activities, swimmers learn to swim 2 meters, further develop basic floats and increase their distance on front and back glide. Front swim and roll-over glides are also included, and swimmers learn appropriate water safety skills such as how to jump in chest deep water and how to use a Personal Floating Device (PDF).

Ages 3 - 6 years old; unparented

Using games and activities, swimmers learn to swim 5 meters, increase their distance using buoyant objects, increase their front and back glides with kick, and develop their roll-over glide, side glide and front swim. Safety skills include deep-water skills and Personal Floating Devices (PDF).

Ages 3 - 6 years old; unparented

Using games and activities, swimmers learn to swim 5 meters on their front, back and side. They also progress with kicking drills to increase their swimming distance to 10 meters. Safety skills include jumping into chest-deep water and performing support for 10 seconds, recognizing when a swimmer needs help and using Personal Floating Devices (PDF).

Ages 3 - 6 years old; unparented

Through fun activities, swimmers perform a front and back swim for 10 meters. Swimmers work on developing flutter kick and perform a distance swim of 15 meters. Safety skills include identifying safe swimming areas, jumping into deep-water, surface support for 20 seconds, a return to safety, throwing assist and sitting dives.

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will receive an orientation to the water and pool facility. They will work on developing their floats, glides and kicking, and will build their endurance with a distance swim of 5 meters.

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will work on propulsion skills to move through the water and remain at the surface while doing front, back and side glides. They will also work on their front swim, learn about deep-water activities, the proper use of a Personal Floating Device (PFD), and perform a 10 meter swim.

Swim Kids 3

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will increase their distance on their front, back and side glide with kick, increase their distance on front and back swim, learn the sitting dive, and will be able to swim 15 meters continuously upon completion of level.

Swim Kids 4

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will learn the back swim and front crawl, work on their back flutter kick, learn kneeling dives, be introduced to sculling, and will be able to swim 25 meters continuously upon completion of level.

Swim Kids 5

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will continue to develop their front crawl, learn the back crawl and whip kick on back, learn the stride dive and treading water, perform head-first sculling on back, and will be able to swim 50 meters continuouslyupon completion of level.

Swim Kids 6

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will increase their distance on their front and back crawl, learn elementary back stroke and the dolphin kick. They also be able to swim 75 meters continuously upon completion of level.

Swim Kids 7

Swim Kids 7

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will increase their distance on their front and back crawl and elementary back stroke. They learn and perform front scull, stride entry, front whip kick, and the dolphin kick. They also be able to swim 150 meters continuously upon completion of level.

Swim Kids 8

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will refine their front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke. They will learn breast stroke, eggbeater/treading water, feet-first surface dives, and standing shallow dive. They will be able to swim 300 meters continuously upon completion of level.

Due to low registration Swim Kids 8 may be combined with Swim Kids 9 and 10

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will continue to refine their front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, and breaststroke. They will learn side stroke kick and head-first surface dive. They will be able to swim 400 meters continuously upon completion of level.

Due to low registration Swim Kids 9 may be combined with Swim Kids 8 and 10

Swim Kids 10

Swim Kids 10

Ages 6+

Swimmers in this class will further refine their front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, and breaststroke. They will learn side stroke, dolphin kick (vertical), and feet- and head-first surface dives with underwater swim. They will be able to swim 500 meters continuously upon completion of level.

Due to low registration Swim Kids 10 may be combined with Swim Kids 8 and 9
